Tickets Now Available for 3rd Annual Sports Celebrity Dinner

The third Annual Sports Celebrity Dinner in support of the Niagara Peninsula Children’s Centre is scheduled for Tuesday, April 28 at Club Roma, 125 Vansickle Road in St. Catharines.

Jack Foster, Chair of NPCC Foundation Board of Trustees has announced that among the confirmed celebrities are Former NHL stars Gerry Cheevers, Ted Lindsay, Dennis Hull, Marv Edwards and Ed Chadwick, Hamilton Tiger Cats running back Jesse Lumsden and offensive lineman George Hudson Jr., and CFL Hall of Famer and wrestling great Angelo Mosca.

Other celebrities are expected to be announced in the near future, and year 2009 inductees of the St. Catharines Sports Hall of Fame will also be honoured.

Foster says, "we are pleased that Scotiabank has again agreed to be the corporate sponsor for this event which last year was an outstanding success, and there are already a number of requests for tickets".

The April 28 evening will commence with cocktails and a silent auction of valuable sports memorabilia at 6:00 p.m. with dinner at 7:15 p.m..  Throughout the evening there will also be a live auction  of other sports items, and an opportunity for celebrity autographs.

Tickets are $90.00 each with a $60.00 tax receipt.  They are available individually, or in tables of eight or ten, by calling the Niagara Peninsula Children’s Centre at (905) 688.3550.

The Niagara Peninsula Children’s Centre provides therapy for more than 3,000 children with physical and communicative disabilities from all 12 municipalities in Regional Niagara.
