NIAGARA LE CLEFS D'OR BRIGHTENS CHRISTMAS FOR MANY

At their November 24, 2008 monthly meeting, members of the Niagara Concierge Association from many of the Niagara Region’s finest hotels, continued their support of local charities with a $2,000 cheque to the Niagara Peninsula Children’s Centre and a cash donation of $830.00 to Project Share in support of families at Christmas. The funds were raised through various means including an annual golf tournament and personal donations from the members.

In addition to the financial support of Project Share, members also donated a large variety of food products for the needy families.

 

Project Share Assistant Executive Director Diane Corkum  accepted the donation on behalf of her charity while NPCC Foundation Executive Director Jim Marino represented the more than 3,000 children with physical or communicative disabilities who receive treatment from Centre therapists.

 

The Niagara Concierge Association are members of the Les Clefs D’Or (Gold Keys) a national association of professional Hotel Concierge and professional and corporate affiliates whose motto is “In service through friendship”. 

 

The Niagara area members meet on a regular basis to share ideas and their knowledge in order to exceed guest expectations.

 

The prestigious association is built purely on friendship and professional ethics where no competition exists, and members across the country come from the nation’s finest hotels in most major cities and resort areas.

 

At the November 24 Niagara meeting, local Association Director Andre Plouffe presented some of the members with their gold key in recognition of training accomplishments in order to meet mandatory requirements of becoming a member of Les Clefs D’Or.
