The Niagara Corvette Club continued its tradition of supporting the Niagara Peninsula Children’s Centre with a donation of $16,100, proceeds from the club’s annual car show, car wash and other fundraising events during 2009.

A cheque presented to the NPCC Foundation’s Executive Director Jim Marino by Club President George Dalbergs and members of the car show organizing committee at the Club’s regular monthly meeting on Tuesday, October 6, 2009.

The Niagara Corvette Club has been supporting the Niagara Peninsula Children’s Centre since the club was formed 36 years ago, and this latest donation brings the total over the years to more than $298,500.

The Club’s Annual Car Show was held in July at Reif Estate Winery in Niagara-on-the-Lake and attracted hundreds of visitors to see one of the finest collection of cars showcased, including a large number of Corvettes, Classic Cars, Street Rods, Muscle Cars, Trucks, Lo-Riders, Customs and Antiques from all parts of Ontario, Michigan, Ohio and New York States.

The Niagara Peninsula Children’s Centre provides treatment for more than 3000 children with physical or communicative disabilities from all 12 municipalities in Regional Niagara.
