Merriton Branch 138 of the Royal Canadian Legion continued its very generous support of the Niagara Peninsula Children’s Centre with a $3,000 donation.
A cheque presentation was made by Marlene Gemmell, Poppy Fund Chair to three of the students in the NPCC school who accepted the donation on behalf of the more than 3,000 children with physical and communicative disabilities who receive therapy at the Centre.
The funds will be used to purchase a track lift system for the clinic area. During seating assessment, families have to lift their children out of their chairs and onto the table, often several times during assessments and fittings of custom wheelchair systems.
