2009 Production Big Hit at Shakespeare in the Vineyard

Posted: November 06, 2009       By: Jim Marino

Hundreds of Niagara areas residents and tourists from different areas of Ontario and New York state reacted very favourably to the six performances of the "Merry Wives of Windsor".  As a special bonus, the weather man was cooperative this year in holding back the rain.

As usual, the enchanting surroundings of Henry of Pelham Winery provided the perfect backdrop for this annual event which is now recognized as a must-do wine country feature as patrons enjoy outdoor theatre while sipping away at a choice of Niagara’s finest wines.

Director Michael Madden and Producer Laura Moffat are already looking ahead to next year with the production of another well known favourite, "Twelfth Night", set to take the stage July 8th,9th,10th,15th,16th and 17th 2010.

All proceeds from Shakespeare in the Vineyard are in support of the Niagara Peninsula Children’s Centre.
